Hunters Village offers a lifestyle of affordable living in a vibrant community that combines residential, recreational, and health care in a secure estate. It is situated close to the golf, tennis and bowls facilities right on the Knysna estuary (Leisure Isle), giving it delightful views and is only five minutes’ drive from the Village. This combined with low levies is hard to beat!
The community lifestyle respects the independence of individuals yet offers a host of voluntary in-house activities for those who enjoy social involvement. Our annual Social Calendar has some 70 activities ranging from monthly Sunday lunches to which friends can be invited, the fortnightly Happy Hours where folk share a drink, a joke and a hamburger, the Film Cub, the Speakers Club, Sing-a-longs…and so much more.

For those that are “twitchers” and into birding there is an amazing and beautiful variety of birds to see and document in Knysna and surrounding areas and various clubs that you can join. Cyclists and hikers are also well catered for with numerous trails in the forests or along the coastline that you can enjoy.

On a weekly basis various activities are offered including Bridge, Chair Pilates, Art, Bible Study, Mindfulness/Meditation and Crafts, Knitting and Sewing.
The community is also involved in environmental and recycling projects and various charitable projects like the Knysna Blanket Angels who knit for charity.
