Hunter’s Village is a retirement village for “over 50’s” situated on the Eastern slopes of the famous and historic Knysna Estuary. The Village was established in 1994, on the farm Melkboskraal, belonging, originally, to George Rex. Knysna is the heart of the Garden Route, one of the many scenic parts of the Western Province, surrounded by lands belonging to the Garden Route National Park. The Knysna Estuary is managed by Sanparks, according to strict conservation protocols. It is within this ecosystem that the endemic Knysna Seahorse is flourishing. With a rich cultural and artistic heritage, Knysna has much to offer.
